What is the Foundation going to do?
The library:
1) Research the community’s needs in relation to library activities.
2) Support the development of new and existing library services and programs.
3) Raise capital investment funds for library building expansion.
4) Increase library patronage and the 'Friends' volunteer numbers.
5) Raise a substantial endowment fund for continual financial support of the library.
6) Create easy access and project determination for private donors.
The business community:
1) Network all commercial and non-profit entities together to work as a team.
2) Increase stimulation of new businesses and encourage external investors to expand into Davis County.
3) Provide continual support services to our business partners in the community.
4) Acquire, build, or convert a building to be used as a primary suite of workspace for community focused groups and corporations.
5) Encourage continually increasing employment opportunities.
Resident community:
1) Increase access to education, entertainment, and leisure interest groups through programs of daily activities.
2) Develop team spirit throughout the community causing an increase to individual and group activity, interest, and motivation.
3) Increase the skill base through education and sponsorship programs.
4) Provide support programs to promote better neighborhoods and living conditions.
5) Acquire, build, or convert land and buildings to be ‘places of interest’.
Community as a whole:
1) Create conditions for continual growth in terms of: residency, business and industry, self sufficiency, per capita income, employment, entrepreneurship.
2) Daily activities, entertainment, and open attractions.
3) A developing and sustainable tourist industry with an excellent support structure.
4) Beautification programs.
5) Land use efficiency program.
6) A developing and sustainable infrastructure.
7) Crime reduction.
8) Decreasing median age by becoming an attractive community for new and relocating families.
9) Effective health and safety initiatives.
10) Commitment to promoting family values and revitalizing our traditional heritage.
11) Raise a substantial endowment fund for continual financial support of community projects, services, and programs.
